Carrie Zaboroski, RA, Preservation Specialist, Architecture Professor
Ms. Zaboroski is a Preservation Architect with nearly 20 years of experience in the areas of historic preservation, non-profit construction management, higher education research and teaching, and general architecture. Her portfolio includes the coordination of numerous simultaneous home repairs, to more technical preservation work associated with the Texas Historic Courthouse Preservation Program and Tax Credit projects. In non-profit, she assumed a variety of roles while overseeing construction activities, including grant writing and administration, increasing the operating budget from less than $300k annually to over $1 million annually. While working in Historic Preservation Architecture, Mrs. Zaboroski directed and completed two $8 million Courthouse Restorations from Planning through Construction, developed Historic Structures Reports and Surveys, and created Master Plans and Guidelines. Her strengths are efficiently balancing logistics coordination with project budgets and schedules, as well as cultivating professional relationships through clear and effective communication. She excels in utilizing her skills and resources to ensure feasible design and programmatic solutions within the parameters of existing buildings. Mrs. Zaboroski has served her community in diverse volunteer capabilities, most notably in Disaster Recovery assessments and has been recognized for her efforts.
